Job Description:

As a Windows Server Administrator/Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the secure and efficient operation of Windows servers and systems in a variety of environments, including on-premises and cloud-based Microsoft products within our Federal Government Customer's environment. Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Managing and maintaining Windows servers and systems, including Azure, Server 2019, Windows 10 & 11, InTune, Endpoint Manager, and other Microsoft products.
• Create, configure, and maintain virtual Windows servers and endpoints using VMWare.
• Migrate servers from Server 2016 to 2019 and migrate some server systems to cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
• Ensuring the security of Windows servers and systems by implementing security patches, secure configuration settings, endpoint detection and response, and anti-malware solutions.
• Maintain identity and access management using Active Directory both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Implement and maintain PKI for individual and endpoint encryption and authentication.
• Provide backup and recovery services and manage file systems and disk space on a routine basis.
• Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, and system components.
• Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.
• Adheres to organizational processes and procedures.
• Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
• Maintain security audit and logging information on all networked and standalone computers.
• Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.
• Work under minimal direction and independently determine and develop an approach to solutions.
• Collaborating with other IT professionals, including network administrators, developers, and help desk staff, to ensure seamless operation of the IT infrastructure.

Required Skills

• Security+ Certification
• Experience with VMware ESXi and virtualization
• Familiarity with on-premises and cloud-based Microsoft products such as Azure, Server 2019, Windows 10 & 11, InTune, Endpoint Manager, etc.
• Current Microsoft certifications, such as Azure Security Engineer Associate, Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Security Administrator Associate, etc.
• Data center experience is a plus.
• Federal government experience is mandatory.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Education:

BS/BA in Information Systems/Computer Science/related field or 5 years minimum relevant professional and technical experience.

Minimum Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years of directly related experience.

Solid understanding of cloud-based Microsoft products such as Azure, Server 2019, Windows 10 & 11, InTune, Endpoint Manager, etc.

Certification:

• Security+
• Must have at least one of the following Current Microsoft certifications:
• Azure Security Engineer Associate
• Cybersecurity Architect Expert
• Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
• Security Administrator Associate

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary: From $90,000.00 per year
