Ecommerce Company looking for a Shipping Manager to lead all ecommerce shipping operations in our 150,000 sq. ft. warehouse located in North Brunswick, NJ. You will oversee the Assistant Shipping Manager and four shipping department leads, and a staff of forty shippers to insure all our shipments go out on time and accurately. You will work under the leadership of an experienced and supportive Warehouse Manager, and alongside three other warehouse department managers.

You will be responsible leading the entire shipping process, from evaluating the daily shipping plan, overseeing accurate picking, overseeing all ship stations, and ensuring 100% accuracy. We ship over a million packages a year and our shipping operation relies heavily on our ERP/WMS systems; comfort with computers is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement overall shipping strategy
• Use shipping software to organize and prioritize shipping activities
• Oversee the whole shipping process
• Set shipping KPIs
• Prepare and present KPI reports
• Suggest solutions for process optimization
• Inspect labels and barcodes
• Supervise and oversee shipping team members
• Set and control shipping and distribution budget
• Build and maintain professional relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders (such as warehouse workers, vendors, purchasing managers, suppliers etc.)
• Negotiate better pricing
• Identify shipping issues and implement solutions in a timely manner
• Create and present reports for upper management

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a Shipping Manager or similar role
• Knowledge of logistics operations and shipping procedures and documents
• Hands-on experience with shipping and distribution software
• Hands-on experience in budgeting and reporting
• Good leadership skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• High school diploma (required)
• BA in supply chain, logistics or similar relevant field (not required)

Other Requirements:

· Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time

· Ability to work in a fast-paced noisy environment, subject to varying extreme temperatures

· Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50lbs

· Approximate hours are 8:30-5:30 Mon-Thur. 8:30-2:00 Friday and some Sundays. Additional hours will be required during Q4 holiday season.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
