ABOUT THE POSITION:
Contributes to the distribution of product from Columbia Sportswear Company’s Distribution Center by ensuring our product is received, labeled, inventoried, and shipped according to customer expectations and demands. Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilizes pallet jacks, forklifts, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move product.
Warehouse associate I may be cross-trained and assigned to departments listed below:
· Ecommerce
· VAS (Value Added Services)
· Inbound
· Shipping
· Active (Order Picking)
· Returns
· Outbound
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Receive incoming products and affixes proper labeling
- Makes boxes according to pick labels, loads on cart and picks to appropriate box
- Unloads cases from pick cart, verifies accuracy of packing. Seals cartons and sends to shipping
- Disposes of empty cartons
- Maintains accuracy and attention to detail while using Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accountabilities for all units.
- May operate manual or automated material handling equipment to move product.
- Maintains positive open lines of communication with all Columbia Sportswear management, staff, and other departments in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.
YOU HAVE:
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
- Experience working in an industrial setting is preferable, but not required
JOB CONDITIONS:
- Position requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, reaching, bending, or stooping. Must be able to move freely throughout the facility and lift up to 40 lbs. regularly
- Occasionally requires the ability to work in place
- Ability to clearly communicate with others
- Overtime may be required
