We are a new Freight Brokerage that is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Agent/Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying potential clients and persuading them to use our services. The candidate should have a deep knowledge understanding of the freight industry, including trends, rates, and regulations, and be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve sales targets.

This sales job is 100% commission-based and does not offer a base salary. The more sales you make, the more you’ll earn.

Note: This job description is specifically for Freight Agent/Salesperson, and the primary objective of this role is to generate sales and achieve revenue targets.

Responsibilities:

· Identify and develop new business opportunities

· Research and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers in the freight industry.

· Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with shippers to secure profitable business deals.

· Provide accurate and timely information to customers regarding freight rates, delivery schedules, and other related services.

· Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure timely and efficient delivery of freight.

· Maintain and update customer records and sales activity reports in a CRM system

· Stay up-to-date with industry trends, rates, and regulations to provide the most competitive pricing to customers.

Requirements:

· High school Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.

· 1+ years of experience in sales and negotiations, preferably in the freight industry with a primary focus on freight rate negotiation.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and team members.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.and does not offer a base salary. Which means that your earnings will be directly tied to your sales performance, there is no cap. The more sales you make, the more you’ll earn.
