On average in the Saint Paul, our new mill production employees make around $82,000 a year.

Bonus: $1,000 Bonus after 6 months of employment and with less than 2 attendance points.

Pay: $24.78 per hour for Extra Helper working in the Mill. Individuals must be trained and able to work 2 positions above this position. When qualified and working as 5th hand then pay is $26.75 per hour. When qualified and working as 4th hand then pay is $27.40 per hour.

Shift differential: Per labor agreement terms – 2nd shift is $.55 per hour and 3rd shift is $.65 per hour.

Some Duties/Responsibilities:

• General housekeeping and cleanliness.

• Cut tails and assist with threading boxboard web

• Assist with the installation of new ropes

• Operate powered industrial equipment.

• Ability to work safely and comply with all Local, State, Federal, and WestRock laws, regulations, and practices.

• Perform the essential functions of the other positions within the department on a relief and fill-in basis.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must pass pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.

• Must be able to work in the United States and have acceptable I-9 documentation.

• Must obtain and maintain forklift certification via internal training.

• Must train and qualify to work other positions in the Department.

• Read & interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, procedural manuals, tape measures, etc.

• Must join USW Local 264 per current labor agreement.

Hours of work: Must be willing to work varying shifts for weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Must work overtime as needed.
