Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Daly City, CA
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team in Daly City, CA. The PTA will work together with licensed Physical Therapists to assist in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with various medical conditions, injuries, or disabilities. In this role, you will provide hands-on assistance to patients, follow individualized treatment plans and exercises, and document patient progress.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work closely with Physical Therapists to develop treatment plans and goals for patients
- Provide hands-on assistance to patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities
- Monitor and document patient progress and make necessary adjustments to the treatment plan
- Educate patients and their families on proper exercises and home care
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatment and progress
- Assist patients with mobility devices and adaptions
- Understand and adhere to legal and ethical standards of healthcare practice
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Hold a valid state PTA license
- Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Compassionate and patient-oriented with a positive attitude
- Understanding and adherence to HIPAA regulations
