A luxury high-rise condominium complex in the N. Bethesda area of Montgomery County, Maryland is looking to hire a Building Engineer who will assist on the day-to-day maintenance of the building.

Please note the position will also require the technician to be available for any on-call emergencies. The hours will be Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-4:30 pm. We are looking to hire an individual who is highly experienced in the maintenance field and will be able to perform plumbing work if need be.

The person in this position needs to daily inspect the property grounds and multilevel stairways, and frequently ascend and descend ladders, lift and transport up to 60 pounds, and position self to view or operate tools in small spaces at, above, or below floor level. Some work may be performed outside in all seasons of the weather.

Examples of duties include but are not limited to:

• Experience and competence using diverse manual or power tools and equipment, ranging from hand tools to bulky machines.
• General knowledge and substantial experience performing handyman skills such as painting, drywall repair, plumbing, HVAC maintenance and electrical repairs and assessments.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment to prioritize, communicate, track & follow through on multiple and rapidly changing issues or projects, obtaining direction and guidance from property managers as required.
• Problem-solving and desire and ability to learn quickly.
• Monitor/visually inspect all common grounds, building interiors and exteriors, mechanical systems, and other common areas/systems and report issues as they are encountered
• Perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical systems and coordinate outside service when needed.
