Workers Compensation Case Coordinator / Legal Assistant Job at Confidential

Ready to submit your last resume ever? Large Workers Compensation Firm looking for full time case managers to join our expanding firm. We pride ourselves in having the best team and best work environment. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have excellent communication skills, can work independently, is organized, detail orientated and has the ability to multi-task. We are hiring in our Sherman Oaks, Commerce and Pomona offices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in worker compensation.
  • Familiar with EAMS/WCAB, DORs filing, PQME evaluation
  • Minimum 1 year experience MS Office
  • Experience with Case Management Software
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Excellent grammar and communication skills

Job Duties (include but not limited to)

  • Process new files from Intake
  • Assist handling attorney from beginning of case to settlement
  • Act as first contact to applicant, insurance, and medicals on case
  • Filing and Serving Workers Compensation Documents
  • Manage applicants’ treatment including obtaining medical records, scheduling medical appointments, requesting doctor panels, scheduling AME/PQMEs
  • Prepare Pre-Trial Conference Statements, settlement documents and Trial exhibits in advance of hearings and depositions as applicable.
  • Keep applicant up to date on the status of their case
  • Organizing case files for team
