Water Resources Project Engineer – Electrical and I&C
STV is a nationally recognized leader for delivering value and excellence in construction management, engineering, architecture, planning and environmental services and is seeking a Water Resources Project Engineer in White Plains, NY with electrical and instrumentation & control design and construction experience on water and wastewater projects. Key responsibilities will include providing design and construction services on multi-disciplined water resources projects. As a technical team member, the applicant will be responsible for:
- organizing cross-functional engineering activities,
- preparing engineering calculations, writing technical reports,
- coordinating with vendors on equipment selection,
- developing design drawings and specifications such as one-line diagrams, cable and conduit lists, instrumentation diagrams and electrical details.
- reviewing shop drawings and submittals,
- providing construction observation and inspection to resolve issues and ensure construction is in conformance with the design requirements,
- coordinating design efforts among various disciplines,
Applicant should have experience with the design and construction of motor control centers, switch gear, 4160/480V power, instrumentation such as flow monitoring, pressure, temperature, etc. stand-by generators, automatic transfer switches, general lighting, Class I Division I design requirements, underground electrical utility design and construction, point-to-point wiring, SCADA and PLC design.
Required Skills:
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code.
- Experience with short circuit analyses, arc flash and coordination studies is a plus.
- NYCDEP experience is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Experience with e-Builder® is a plus.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills a must.
- Experience with BIM/Revit AutoCAD a strong plus.
- Advanced degree in engineering or engineering related sciences, a plus.
