Who we are:

Harbor Media is a non-profit community TV organization serving Hingham and Norwell PEG channels. As a videographer and editor, you will shoot videos with our cameras and edit the footage for final output (on Adobe Premiere). Our programming is recorded 1) at town hall, 2) in the community and public schools, 3) in our television studio. Preference given to South Shore (MA) residents.

Only applicants with the following three components will be considered:

You are expected to work on-location due to the collaborative nature of this position. Some weekends and weekday evenings are needed.

Who you are:

You are an entry level videographer & video editor who is eager to learn and grow. You do not mind critique of your work, and can be very successful in a fast-paced environment by meeting deadlines. You do not settle for "good enough" and always want to improve the quality of your work. Learning, flexibility, and helping team members are things that keep you excited.

What you will do:

We are constantly innovating within the "Community Media" industry. You will work with a kind and fun team to record government meetings and public events made for cable TV. You can tell a story by editing a video and creating shows that are 5 minutes to 30 minutes (and sometimes longer).

Requirements:

* Working knowledge of camera operation, lighting, and sound recording for video.

* Creative eye for composition and storytelling with video is a must.

* BA/BS degree from an accredited 4-year college in a related field

* 2 to 3 years of experience in storytelling with video

* Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere

* Knowledge of After Effects and/or Audition would be nice, but not required

* This position requires carrying, managing, and assembling camera, lens, tripod, and other equipment.
