About Visiting Angels of Punta Gorda

The ideal candidate would have:

• Experience in hospice, home health, or other related fields preferred
• A positive and patient demeanor
• The ability to build rapport with patients
• The ability to handle physical workload
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

As a home care provider, your daily tasks may include:

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene, including bathing, dressing etc.
• Assisting with mobility
• Providing medication and fluid reminders
• Providing light housekeeping and laundering
• Preparing healthy meals according to doctor or dietitian recommendations
• Running errands and grocery/home shopping
• Providing companionship and conversation
• Promoting engagement in senior-friendly activities

Requirements

To become a caregiver, we ask that you:

• Provide professional references
• Have had previous caregiving experience and/or a desire to learn
• Have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and ability to transport clients
• Pass a Level 2 background check and drug screening
