Our Unarmed Security Officers play a vital role by actively observing their surroundings, positively engaging with customers and associates, and responding to emergency situations.

We have locations in Del Rey Oaks, and Salinas! Please let us know in which location you are interested.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour/depending on experience.

Required Duties:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles
• Monitor entrances and exits and permit authorized persons to enter property
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner

Essential Job Functions:

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Duties may include sitting and standing or walking in inclement weather conditions
• Ability to occasionally lift items not to exceed 20 pounds.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience in retail, customer service and/or hospitality
• Experience in security

• Demonstrate proficiency in sound decision making and defensive tactics
• Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
• Active listening skills
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
• Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
• Attention to detail

Required Certifications:

• Posses a BSIS Guard Card

Other Misc. Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age
• Background check required, no felony convictions
• Professional, tidy appearance and good personal hygiene
• Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations including weekend, evening, and holiday shifts and store location assignments
• Must be on time and ready to work when scheduled with reliable transportation
• Valid California Driver’s License or State issued ID Card
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
