Accountable for providing quality ultrasound scans for the Cardiologists in the diagnosis of cardiac patients.
Responsibilities
• Provide quality ultrasound images for use by the Cardiologist in the diagnosis and management of cardiac patients. • Provide assistance in the performance of Cardiac Monitor scanning. • Provide assistance in the performance of stress testing. • Maintain records of patient exams with their diagnosis. Ability to identify abnormalities and take appropriate action. • Schedule patients when necessary. • Provide assistance to Physicians and patients during stress/Echocardiograms and/or obtain adequate ultrasound images. • Prepare patients and provide quality signals for TCD examinations and assist nursing personnel/physician. • Following aseptic technique, gain intravenous access as needed for UEA and or bubble studies as ordered by physician • Following aseptic technique administer UEA as ordered by the physician

Perform related duties as assigned.

- Formalized Training (Required) Substitution: Equivalent work experience may substitute for formalized training.
