In business since 1966, we service Blue Bird Buses as well as Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit, Cummins, CAT, Eaton, Meritor, Allison and DT12 trucks.

Truck Mechanic (Diesel) Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair & maintain diesel and gasoline engine industrial trucks and buses
• Document repairs using fleet maintenance software
• Conduct road tests as required
• Participate in Company paid training and stay abreast of manufacturer-provided technical updates
• May oversee work of apprentice technicians if appropriate/assigned
• Maintain dealership-owned tools and manuals
• Comply with Federal, State & local regs (hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.)

Truck Mechanic (Diesel) Qualifications:

Successful candidates will be or possess:

• 3 years’ exp repairing Class 8 trucks and buses (i.e.: Blue Bird, Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit, Cummins, CAT, Eaton, Meritor, Allison and DT12 trucks, etc.)
• Engine, Transmission, Air & Emissions Systems exp (EPA07, EPA10+)
• Computerized diagnostic skills
• 21+ years' old (for auto insurance purposes) & able to lift 100 lbs.
• Valid/clean driver's license
• Willing/able to obtain certifications (Company paid training)

Preferred candidates will also be or possess:

• Experience specific to above noted vehicles
• Certifications for any of the above noted vehicles
• Current CDL, clear of violations/accidents, accompanied by DOT medical cert
