Purpose:
Provide consulting services, expertise, and training for the sale and support of technology solutions with current and prospective customers of Livingston Machinery Company.
Ensures ongoing technology training, knowledge, and support to all departments and employees of LMC to achieve our goal of a 100% company focus and expertise in technology.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the execution of LMCs technology products and systems. (Machine/Telemetry Optimization, Logistics Optimization, and AGCO FUSE Brands and other 3rd party technologies)
- Ensures understanding of our core technology solutions and precision farming products in all of LMC departments: sales, parts, and service
- Focus on growing the Precision Farming business within the dealership through technology adaption, aftermarket product sales, service agreements, customer education, marketing campaigns and business development.
- Provide sales support and consultation, such as integration advice, compatibility check, product demonstrations, configuration, and quotations, during the buying stage of new/used equipment.
- Develops and delivers employee and customer training via customer meetings, product demos, how to videos and other avenues of training communications.
- Provides solutions-based business consulting services to customers (i.e., advising customers on optimizing performance, reducing costs, operation efficiencies, etc.)
- Seeks out new products and market opportunities that would benefit LMC and its customers.
- Accurately completes paperwork and invoicing in a timely manner.
- Continual education and training to stay up on current technology offerings in the marketplace.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, key industry/market influencers, AGCO personnel and LMC teammates.
- Strives and achieves results by taking initiative, overcoming obstacles and finding solutions
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
- 1+ years experience in an agriculture-related role
- Dealership sales, service, training, or other related work experience preferred
- Proficient knowledge of electrical and wireless communication systems
- Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Solid organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store locations and customers farm
- Associates degree or Bachelors degree or applicable on-job experience in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or Agriculture Mechanization preferred
In Season Focus:
- Customer Support: Handling customer needs in a timely manner to assure customer satisfaction and uptime
- In-House Support: Support technology issues/questions of all departments in LMC Sales/Service/Parts
- In Field Demos: Setup/Assist/Perform in-field demos of LMC equipment
- LMC Uptime: Assuring proper performance of all LMC technology systems
Off Season Focus:
- Sales: Selling new technology/product upgrades/subscriptions/inspection programs
- Inspections/Service: Performing and billing for equipment and service
- Customer Product Training/Updates: Organize and host customer meetings for technology focused topics and product sales
- How-to-Video Production: Coordination and production of short how to videos for the LMC YouTube channel. These will ultimately help customers with issue, thus reducing phone support.
- Inner Department Training: Training in house LMC employees for their specific job roles
- Product Demos: Participate with the sales department in as many product demos as possible to assure highest level of product value to the customer
- Pre-Demo unit setup and programing
- Performing customer walk around
- Customer startup
- Answering all customer questions
- Grower Data Management: Help Grower with their data

This job operates in various environments to include: office, shop, trade shows, customer sites (indoor/outdoor). This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. and some Saturdays. Occasional overtime, evening, and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.
