Estamos buscando a un Tapicero de asientos de caros interesado a descubrir la tapicería de muebles. Ofrecemos la oportunidad de trabajar en muebles de lujo para artistas y decoradores y desarrollar más competencias y técnicas.

Requerimos las habilidades siguientes:

- Cortar telas y crear patrones para formas derechas y curvas,

- Hacer las covers,

- Tapizar muebles,

- Fabricar cojines y almohadones,

- Costura a mano y con máquina.

Esperamos a alguien que sepa trabajar en equipo y también en autonomía para adaptar fácilmente a nuestro entorno laboral muy variable. Necesitamos alguien que tenga la capacidad de trabajar siguiendo un horario, a veces en poco tiempo, manteniendo siempre una alta calidad.

Inglés básico es requerido pues es el idioma común del workshop. Español adicional.

Ofrecemos una posición full-time. Salario será basado sobre la experiencia. Ofreceremos un bono al firmar el contracto después de un periodo de probation.

Jouffre Inc. is a French company based in Long Island City, NY, specialized in high-end French upholstery and working for notorious Interior designers. We are looking for a Car seat Upholsterer interested in discovering furniture upholstery. We are offering an opportunity to work on high-end and luxury pieces of furniture for designers and artists as well as developing more skills and techniques.

The following skills are required:

• Cutting fabrics and creating patterns for squared and curved shapes,
• Making covers,
• Finishing outside upholstery,
• Making and covering pillow and cushions,
• Sewing, both by hand and by machine.

We expect the right candidate to be team-oriented and autonomous in order to adapt easily to the constantly changing environment of a fast-growing company. The right candidate must have the ability to complete jobs following a schedule, sometimes in a short time, while maintaining a high level of quality and without compromising the integrity of the job.

Fluent English is mandatory as this is the common language in our workshop. Spanish is a plus.

We are offering a full-time position. Salary will correspond with experience. We will also give a substantial sign-in bonus after a period of probation.
