Who We Are
American Pain Consortium (APC) is a growing network of interventional pain management practice and pain-focused ambulatory surgical centers (ASC). We were founded in 1993 by a physician and since then we've have focused on empowering like-minded physicians to provide excellent care. Our expansion strategy is drive by both acquisition and organic growth achieved with the addition of new pain clinics as well as new service line developments to improve patient outcomes.
Our physicians have over 25 years of experience with implantable technologies in the ASC setting and love sharing their experience to expand our centers of excellence in neuromodulation and intrathecal delivery systems. We currently hold eleven locations – seven in Indiana and four in Ohio.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)
- Setting up instruments and equipment required for the procedure
- Sterilizing equipment and taking inventory to ensure there are enough supplies for surgery
- Preparing the patient for surgery
- Passing the Surgeon instruments and sterile throughout the operation
- Taking a count of all surgical instruments and supplies prior to the operation
- Recounting surgical instruments and supplies at the end of the operation
- Maintaining an overall sterile environment throughout the surgery
- Appropriately documenting in patient charts
Minimum Qualifications (What We Are Looking For)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to adequately relay all relevant patient details to all members of the surgical team
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- The ideal candidate must be an honest and ethical person to work in this position based on trust
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A good memory is necessary to avoid repetition of lengthy explanations for tasks that need to be completed
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and/or Experience Requirements
- Certification in Surgical Technology (CST) preferred
- 1 year of perioperative or PACU experience preferred
