POSITION TITLE: SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST

DIRECT REPORTING TO: CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

LOCATION OF POSITION: El Segundo, CA

OVERVIEW:

As the Supply Chain Specialist, you are responsible for assisting the Supply Chain Manager & Account Manager(s) with tactical follow-up on customers’ orders. You provide inside sales support to the sales task force by ensuring all the necessary operational tasks leading to shipment completion are looked after, from shipment initiation to final delivery, billing & filing. You act as an active liaison between the executives, the sales force, and the customers by performing critical follow-ups & updating all necessary parties with statuses & milestones on freight movement. You act as the primary point of contact for operational issue resolution.

DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Managing shipments of all transportation modes (LCL, FCL, air & ocean freight, parcel) from shipment initiation to final delivery.
  • Working in collaboration with account manager(s) to provide milestones & updates on live shipments.
  • Assisting with updating customers’ in-transit reports.
  • Collecting and validating commercial documents related to live shipment files (commercial invoices, packing lists, delivery orders, house bill of lading, master bill of lading, air waybill, etc.…).
  • Performing and supervising ISF process and its filing timeliness, depending on customers’ requirements.
  • Performing regular checks with the local CFS on LCL shipments to ensure the CFS charges are timely paid and to ensure no demurrage accrues on outstanding shipments.
  • Following up with airlines on air freight to ensure freight is timely retrieved from airline deconsolidation warehouses and routed to end customers.
  • Obtaining PODs for external partners (and collecting all necessary paperwork) to ensure prompt billing.
  • Assisting with special projects such as kitting, courier label creation, and tracking to the final destination.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the logistics/supply chain field.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform efficient follow-up on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
  • Proficiency in English (written & spoken) is mandatory.
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States of America.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
