Superintendent Job at TIS Construction Services, Inc.
Looking for a self-motivated individual with exceptional communication skills to fill our Superintendent opening. Experience in the commercial construction industry required. Experience as a Superintendent and/or supervisor preferred but not required. The Superintendent's duties include but are not limited to reading plans, overseeing crews, following schedules, and reporting to the Project Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow direction of the Project Manager with regards to daily production schedule and activities.
- Plan and manage construction jobs from start to finish, including hands on wherever needed.
- Provide on time and complete paperwork, reports, and status updates.
- Coordinate Equipment, Crew and Material Needs.
- Train workers in the proper use of equipment, processes, safety and quality.
- Analyze and resolve work problems.
- Maintain and manage time records, paperwork, safety reports.
- Control labor, material, supply and equipment costs to assure the job is completed on schedule and within budget.
- See to it that all work is completed to quality standards.
- Be completely clear on the job's Contract Scope of Work and see to it that any work done.
- Plan and monitor the work so no labor and/or materials are wasted.
- Each week, plan the next week's job activities in order to determine the number of crew members needed each day to complete the work.
- Provide supervision and direction to all crew members at all times.
- Cooperate and coordinate with other trades on the job site. Respect the work of other trades.
- Conduct weekly tail-gate safety meetings with all crew members and see to it that all related forms and attendance sheets are completed by the employees attending the safety meetings
- Report all employee accidents immediately to the Office and the Project Manager and immediately complete all accident forms as needed.
- See to it that any injured employee immediately seeks appropriate medical attention.
- Sees to it that all employees wear all appropriate protective safety gear and follow all safety regulations and requirements while on the job site.
- Keep all work and the job site clean and safe.
- Establish and at all times maintain a good and professional working relationship with the customer's representatives.
- Comply with all reasonable requests made by the customer's representative. The foreman is to seek the guidance of the Project Manager if the Foreman is unsure if a request is reasonable.
- This position is also responsible for accomplishing any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of 5 years work experience.
- Ability to understand plans/blueprints to ensure projects meet all building/code requirements.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, be very detail oriented, have strong organizational and time management skills. Work well with others.
- Proven success in meeting critical deadlines under stressful conditions
- Strong sense of personal responsibility and desire to keep crew safe
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, dedication
- Ability to show up on time at the jobsite
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation to be able to commute to various sites in the greater Los Angeles area.
- Available to work days/nights weekdays and weekends.
- Must pass drug screen.
- Legally eligible to work in the US
