      Position Summary
      One temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Operations and Planning.
      Start Date
      Position available on or after April 24, 2023 and ending on or before May 31, 2023. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.


      Job Description/Duties

      Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Assist with concept and design of marketing materials (flyers, advertisements, posters and other related items).
      • Assist with creating content/graphics/images/photos to be used for social media and website platforms.
      • Assist with tracking social media user traffic and evaluate effectiveness of platform.
      • Assist with the creation of videos and video editing.
      • Perform all other duties or projects as assigned.
      • Opening and closing procedures.
      • Office readiness (e.g. supply inventory, organization, etc.).
      • Office reception, phone coverage and referrals.
      • Monitor generic email accounts.
      • Event logistical support as needed
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications

      Preferred Qualifications:
      • Demonstrates commitment to employment through May 31, 2024.
      • Demonstrates knowledge and skills in utilizing social media programs (Instagram/Facebook).
      • Demonstrates copy-writing, proofreading and editing skills.
      • Demonstrates the ability to work well with others and independently to meet deadlines.
      • It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent demonstrates at least 1 year of experience in graphic design.
      • It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent demonstrates experience with Adobe Creative Suite and video creation editing software (or other design program).

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

      Salary Range

      $17.00 per hour
