SAV has been in business for 15 years, is wildly successful and is among the largest AV integrators in the country. We are now looking to hire full-time Site Supervisor.
RESIDENTIAL
Historically the Residential Department accounts for 50% of SAV’s yearly revenue. This department is overseen by a veteran with over 25 years of AV experience who’s worked in all aspects of the trade. With specializing and focusing on custom home projects from the “ground up” we have the ability to teach and train employees on all aspects of the trade providing them with the opportunity to grow and move in any direction within SAV. With specializing in projects from the “ground up” we find ourselves working from the very beginning (framing) to the absolute end (client handoff) of high-end custom homes. Preparation, organization, and communication are a necessary step when planning for the length and size of contracts we’re working on. We specialize in projects that include all aspects of what SAV offers, systems from Audio/Video, Lighting, Shading & Security (Life Safety & Surveillance). Our projects vary greatly in size and scope, from the relatively small to extremely large!
JOB SUMMARY:
The Site Supervisor monitors job performance and makes recommendations for improvements onsite insuring expectations and companywide quality control expectations are being met.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Actively participates in contractor trade meetings and sub meetings
  • Updates tasks and ensures tasks have been completed
  • Conducts site wide quality control and documentation
  • Enforces site safety rules to minimize work related accidents and injuries
  • Conducts Internal schedule meetings with technicians
  • Implements management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient
  • Organize employee and subcontractor travel to/from Antigua on PLH transport and manage onsite accommodation and dining for all employees and subcontractors
  • Oversees technician and subcontractor day to day scheduling and schedule forecasting
  • Warehouse management including receiving, inventory management and product distribution
  • General maintenance and upkeep of SAV owned facilities and vehicles onsite
  • Project planning, organizing, and controlling of construction projects

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of Low voltage systems and supporting infrastructure
  • Skilled in the installations of all Residential Audio video systems
  • Ability to think outside of the box and problem solve when problems occur
  • Experience working abroad, particularly in remote locations with limited services

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Understanding of low-voltage and signal-flow and wired and wireless networks
  • Knowledge of structural basics, including drilling studs, beams, etc., and basic installation techniques, including opening sizes and device/component placement
  • Basic knowledge and understanding with reading Blueprints
  • High School education or GED equivalent
  • Experience in the construction industry
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil construction, industrial or mechanical engineering
  • Experience in a leadership role

  • General – instruction, advice and assistance available as needed. Review of work may be frequent but not usually detailed. Emphasis is placed on quality of completed assignments.

  • Authority to implement decisions regarding how the duty is performed or how work assignments are carried out using extrapolated information from policy, past practice, outside documents, experience, education
