Shuttle Driver - PT Job at Zwilling J A Henckels LLC
- Responsible for driving shuttle buses safely and efficiently.
- Always signs keys in and out for vehicles in use and follows key control policy.
- Performs pre-check of the vehicle in use. Checks for fluid leaks, fluid levels for radiator, battery, crankcase, blown bulbs, tire wear, and low pressure. Immediately reports damage to Supervisor.
- Keeps a written record of trips, mileages, purchases of gasoline, oil, and other materials
- Reports apparent major malfunctions and needed repairs to appropriate supervisory or maintenance staff.
- Washes and cleans vehicles, weekly and sweeps when necessary.
- Maintains a reasonable pace while driving the designated route. Stops only at designated bus stops and follows designated route unless otherwise advised by Supervisor.
- Must adhere to and maintain the manufacturer required maintenance schedule and deliver vehicle for such by working with the program coordinators and maintaining accurate records.
Job Requirements:
- Must possess a valid NYS Commercial Driver’s License (Class B or CDL) with passenger endorsement (no restrictions)
- Must be able to meet NYS insurance requirements.
- Prior experience driving the bus professionally is preferred.
- Pass Company mandated drug test
- Must obtain a current Driver Abstract from DMV
- Working knowledge of the Vehicle and Traffic Law as it applies to the safe and legal operation of vehicles operated.
- Working knowledge of simple automotive repair and maintenance procedures.
- Working knowledge of routes to specific locations.
- Ability to physically operate assigned vehicles safely and effectively under various road condition
- Ability to communicate orally to exchange information.
Wage Range: $40,000-$50,000/yr
