Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Johnston, RI location.

Duties: Design, modify, develop and implement technology solutions; building modern, architecturally sound components, tools and applications to meet mission-driven strategic business goals. Participate in an environment rapidly transforming to the Agile methodology, adhering to best practices and collaborating effectively with team members. Infuse quality of service characteristics, such as scalability, manageability and maintainability, into distributed service-based framework to create or expand business or technical capabilities. Document development iterations; ensuring the quality of technical documentation; creating progress reports. Participate in code and design reviews with network, infrastructure and solutions engineering teams to ensure that solutions meet current enterprise standards.

Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Applications or related field and three (3) years of progressive experience in the role or in a related position. Full term of experience must include: Utilizing a wide array of J2EE technologies, including JSP/Servlets, Struts/Spring framework, JavaScript/AJAX, and JDBC to architect real-world, enterprise solutions; Utilizing databases, including Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL to store, maintain, and access business data; Utilizing Atlassian tech stacks, including JIRA, Crucible, and Bitbucket to plan, assign, track, report, and manage work, review tickets against committed code, and manage repositories; Utilizing Spring, Hibernate and Spring Boot to build enterprise Java applications; Utilizing organizational SDLC processes and best practices in an Agile methodology to enable improvement in team delivery commitments and capacity planning for sprints by identifying and tracking hidden tasks; Designing, building, deploying, and maintaining high quality, secure, efficient, reliable, extendable, reusable and easy to maintain technical solutions; Designing and developing Web Service applications and Micro services using Restful Web Services; Utilizing Nexus IQ to accelerate delivery and increase product quality; Utilizing issue management and version control systems, including GIT, SVN, VSS, JIRA, and Service Now; Maintaining and enhancing existing application systems using SOAP and Java; and Utilizing service architectures and RPC, including SOAP, REST, and ORM frameworks, including Hibernate, Entity Framework, and continual deployment, to create business applications.
