Job Responsibilities:

  • Processes bi-weekly and weekly multi-state payroll
  • Process child support payments, verifications of employment, and garnishments
  • Obtain and verify direct deposit information
  • Manages all unemployment claims
  • File/ pays Wyoming workers compensation quarterly
  • Manages reporting for Bureau Labor of Statistics
  • Sets up and pays new users for auto reimbursements
  • Calculate last pay for voluntary and involuntary termination while adhering to states laws
  • Maintains payroll information by designing systems; directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data.
  • Updates payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, savings deductions, and job titles, and department/ division transfers
  • Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments
  • Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies
  • Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
  • Maintains payroll staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required
  • 3-5 years of experience in human resources, payroll or accounting for a corporation
  • Experience in the retail industry preferred
  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet processing deadlines
  • Excellent mathematics and communication skills
  • Experience with PDI Workforce and UKG preferred
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,978.33 - $88,446.11 per year
