About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Analytics Consultant who will be responsible for Service Members Civil Relief Act (SCRA ) analytics and reporting: leveraging analytics to synthesize insights from data to identify emerging risks, overseeing the development of ongoing daily and monthly reporting and risk data management initiatives, and a wide variety of other risk management activities to manage operational risk and improve compliance and customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will:
  • Advise experienced leadership to develop or influence statistical modeling, analytical strategies, and advanced data visualization for complex business and technical needs
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring analytical application of industry techniques, advance data from multiple sources, and mathematics behind data analysis across the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical, and coordination of highly complex activities
  • Design and lead complex projects, analyses, and application of techniques across the enterprise
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that align to the enterprise
  • Engage with peers, managers risk, compliance, managers across the enterprise, and serve as an expert advisor to leadership team
  • Develop core SCRA reporting and analytics, leveraging internal risk databases and the Department of Defense Manpower Data Center database
  • Providing leadership to the ongoing transformation of the SCRA Center of Excellence to ensure we leverage data and analytics to ensure we comply with regulations and deliver for our military customers.
  • Manage the ongoing development of reporting to proactively identify eligible service members and downstream business reporting to ensure benefits are applied.
  • Work closely with SCRA COE leadership, partnering with internal and external business counterparts to develop and support analytical projects & process enhancements to improve operational risk
  • Manage communication of critical risk insights through reporting and presenting to senior management regularly
  • Oversee complex assignments to identify and define strategic business issues that require analyses and translates this information into insight, knowledge and understanding of the business and the industry
  • Review/analyze trends, identify new methodology/data sources, and recommend strategy changes or process enhancements
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 7+ years of Analytics and Reporting, Financial Modeling, Statistics, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience using SQL and SAS
  • Experience using Tableau
  • Ability to work with large databases and process flow through complex logic
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Experience in using Python
  • Operational risk management experience in financial services
  • Broad knowledge of retail banking and loan products and systems
  • In-depth knowledge of business systems (MSP, Shaw, 1AFS, FDR, EIW, BMG, Brickyard, HOGAN) and data structures
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to acquire new concepts and skills quickly and to drive independently with little direction
  • Demonstrated initiative to identify business improvement opportunities and drive completion of tasks, projects, and initiatives
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problems
  • Experience in conducting complex analytics and reporting; utilize superb critical thinking skills to develop accurate and actionable analyses and reports that empower partners to manager operational risk effectively
  • Experience compiling and summarizing information in a compelling way that tells a story which be shared with senior leaders within the organization
  • Experience in mining data and uncovering important information relevant to the business that might not be readily apparent
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate, build successful relationships, and establish credibility with a diverse group of shareholders including individuals from operations, risk, audit, legal, and/or regulatory partners
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Collect appropriate data for analysis by connecting to various data sources and platforms, combining structured and non-structured data
  • Compile and organize datasets to enable analytics, report building and 'story telling' of customer experience
  • Develop hypotheses regarding trends and drivers of customer feedback; execute analytical process to support/disprove and organize output into a concise and effective presentation narrative with appropriate detail and visualizations
  • Lead analytical projects with solid organization and clear communication of objectives, tasks/path deliverables and timelines
  • Demonstrate exceptional quality and attention to detail in building and documenting data and analytics processes and execution of rigorous validation process to ensure high levels of confidence in findings and extrapolations.
Locations:

Candidate must reside within a reasonable commute to one of the addresses listed in the posting but will have the option to work remote - Hybrid - 3 days office required/ 2 days remote.

This requisition will be hiring for two analysts. Preferred locations listed above. Other locations within the Wells Fargo footprint may be considered. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Salary range is determined by location of the job.

  • CO - Denver - Min: $96,600 - Max: $171,800 - (May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights, or other long-term incentive awards)
  • NV - Carson City - Min: $96,600 - Max: $171,800
  • CT - Hartford - Min: $106,300 - Max: $188,900
  • NY - New York City Pay Range -: Min: $115,900 - Max: $206,100
