We are currently seeking a Senior Estimator. The Senior Estimator will perform a variety of professional estimating duties related to developing estimates and procuring work for heavy civil construction projects. Senior estimator will lead a team of estimators to work on a specific assigned project by Chief Estimator and VP Estimator.

Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly investigates the specifications, scope of work and drawings for his/her of a project and develops a complete understanding of the requirements.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of the contract documents and the potential risks for a project. Makes well-supported recommendations on how to mitigate and price risks.
  • Conducts field visits to gather relevant information and data related to the project site conditions to help verify method of construction and production. Is capable of developing innovated new methods of construction strategies to enhance our competitive advantage in the industry.
  • Accurately and timely performs quantity takeoffs and cost pricing and analyzes data when needed.
  • After winning project The Sr. Estimator will be involved with collaborating with the chief estimator, VP estimator and procurements department to fine tune subcontractor and suppliers.
  • Thoroughly investigates the specifications, scope of work and drawings for his/her portion of a bid and develops a complete understanding of the requirements.
  • The SR Estimator will work with the Chief Estimator and VP Estimator will Coordinate with Business Development, Engineering and Operations teams on Design Build Projects on technically writing.
  • The SR Estimator will work closely with Chief Estimator and VP Estimator to develop a final price proposal to be submitted to the client to meet deadlines.
  • The Senior Estimator will work the team estimators and coordinate with Chief Estimator, VP Estimator and Business Development Dept on RFP proposal to be submitted to the client in a timely fashion.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of combined experience in construction, field experience and estimating.
  • Has experience in working on projects that have a minimum value of $5M to $50M
  • Has a experience of managing a team of estimators, manage a entire project, solid time management system and demonstrates excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.), plan and spec reading.
  • Experience in Primavera (plus), HCSS (must), Plan Swift, On Screen Takeoff (OST) and AGTEK would be advantageous.
  • We are open to training on software.
  • Excellent at multitasking. This position requires working on multiple projects at the same tim Finish e.
  • Outstanding communication and people skills. Solicits subcontractors and vendors as needed.

Compensation: The base salary being offered for this position is USD $150,000 per year to USD $200,000 per year. Please note that the salary range listed is specific to the role listed in New York. Salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on various factors including, but not limited to, experience, education and performance.
