We are currently recruiting for the position of:

Schematic & Assortment Analyst - 1800 Standiford Ave., Modesto, CA 95350

The Analyst, Schematic and Assortment manages the category schematic and assortment process lifecycle by providing assortment analysis for the placement of new items, discontinuing of existing items, and optimal product placement for the shelf to grow sales and profitability. The Analyst of Schematic and Assortment is the inventory/schematic software power user, and develops customer centric store specific shelf schematics for work that is implemented by store employees, a third party schematic implementation team, as well store conversions and new stores. This position works closely with multiple departments, as well as our in-house vendor partners throughout the category schematic process.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Analyze, develop, and manage customer centric store specific schematics for assigned categories – works with Store Operations Specialists and Category Analysts on new item and discontinue recommendations; develops and maintains optimal space allocation and product placement based on the category strategy
  • Assist the Store Operations Specialist in understanding store space limitations at the shelf, and develop innovative solutions to meet the company’s objectives
  • Maintain and revise store schematics and product placement with optimized space allocation information for store clusters and category set sizes.
  • Strong knowledge of the Space Mate Application suite and inventory/schematics software control and schematic web applications
  • Create reports to validate schematic accuracy
  • Facilitate work of in-house vendor partners; communicating expectations, review work, and meet with key stakeholders to review projects
  • Facilitate and support the category review process to optimize category assortment
  • Meet schematic deadlines at store level for store execution
  • Travel to stores to measure/physically set category schematic
  • Serve as liaison to vendor partner relationships (Category Captains) and Save Mart
  • Work with third party new item imaging and measurement process
  • Research and troubleshoot escalated schematic issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Hiring pay range: $23.08 - 33.20

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Knowledge of schematic analytics
  • Good communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively and appropriately to a broad audience
  • Knowledge of applicable computer systems, to include excellent Excel and strong PowerPoint and Word skills
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data
  • Knowledge of market data platforms
  • Ability to work independently

Education: Two-year college degree (or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience)

Experience: Two years of directly related experience

Other: Some travel required

Physical: Basic office environment: ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, use stairs, reach, pull and lift objects
