Rotational Program - Sales Job at Worthington Industries
Summary:
The Worthington Industries Rotation Experience & Development (WIRED) Program candidate will participate in a sales rotational program in which they will be responsible for developing knowledge and business skills in the manufacturing industry, while building strong relationships during each rotational assessment (supply chain, operations, sales). The WIRED program is to provide the knowledge and resources to accelerate the learning curve at Worthington Industries. The role works closely with several individuals at each rotation to ensure development goals are met. Strong emphasis will be placed on the ability to grow deep knowledge of the functional area with the sales function. This person in this role will be exposed to many facets of the business including on-site work in specified rotations. We are seeking individuals who are interested in moving into a career in sales both inside and outside sales. Excellent opportunity for growth!
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Learn front line operations and an understanding on key roles within the plant that allow operations to be successful
- Understand the sales plan and its impact to production
- Work on key production projects
- Communicate to our customers and support their orders, questions, etc.
- Participate in supply chain meetings and help prepare necessary date to support the meetings
Rotations:
Six months in each of the below functions. The position will move into an Inside Sales role at the end of the rotations.
- Inside Sales

- Supply Chain
- Purchasing

- Customer facing background
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- 3.0 GPA or above preferred
- Community and/or collegiate involvement
