The Role
Are you a detail-oriented, flexible, and energetic individual with a passion for construction service? That is exactly what we are looking for here at our Shoe Palace Houston Office!
The Facilities Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Construction & Facilities Team to support all retail stores. You will report to our Facilities Director. This individual will have the opportunity to make a tremendous and immediate impact on a fast-paced company. Think about it, if you are a highly organized individual who has a knack for making everything run smoothly… this is the position for you.
This is what a day at work may look like...
- Previous experience in facility coordination and/or project management preferred.
- Proficiency in Facilities Management (FM) software, like ProLease, Drober and UpKeep.
- Knowledge of basic building maintenance planning and schedules.
- Basic knowledge of Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical.
- Proficiency in office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Express.
- Strong procurement and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
About you...
- High School Diploma or higher
- Computer Savvy, keep in mind this is an office job
- Written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Team player with a strong work ethic.
- Driven, expected to take initiative, and provide long term solutions to issues that arise.
It would be great but not completely necessary to have...
- 1+ years of combined electrical and facilities maintenance experience
