Supervisor House Admin PRN - Patient Care Service

Founded in 1982, Rio Grande Regional Hospital (RGRH), an HCA-affiliated facility, is proud of maintaining its status as one of the leading healthcare providers in the Rio Grande Valley. For nearly 30 years, we have remained focused and committed to providing quality healthcare to all members of our community.

With 320 beds and a team of more than 500 physicians representing over 35 specialties, we offer a range of inpatient and outpatient services.

What you will do in this role:

  • Assists in the provision of supplemental nursing staff to in-patient and other areas.
  • Works with departments within the hospital to ensure appropriate and timely patient placement.
  • Assists staff in obtaining needed supplies and equipment.
  • Utilizes chain of command to address departmental or facility issues.
  • Responds to emergencies on the campus.
  • Implements emergency plans for the facility.
  • Interacts with patients, families, staff and physicians to ensure prompt resolution of concerns.
  • Supports hospital mission, vision and goals.
  • Places personal emphasis on customer service.


What qualification you will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Associate, Bachelor or Master Degree with current RN license.
  • Vocation: Essential experience in other jobs and on-the-job training is necessary.
  • Two years general duty staff. Two years management (Manager or Unit Supervisor) preferred.
  • Some specialty area experience (ICU, ED, etc.) preferred.
  • Current registration with the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
