POSITION: Registered Nurse (RN)/PACU

REPORTS TO: Physician/Owner & Nurse Manager

Job Summary: Responsible for interviewing and assessing patients in a clinic setting, entering appropriate information into electronic patient medical records, and effectively communicating patient concerns to physician. Conducts pre-operative interviews, circulates in operating room, and recovers patients after surgical procedures.

Dr. James M. Ridgway, MD, FACS is a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon with a long and known history in the greater Seattle and Bellevue area. He has recently opened his own practice, Ridgway Face & Aesthetic Center, at the Overlake Medical Pavilion in Bellevue, Washington as of late September of 2019.

Industry experience is required and we will not be able to accept applications from new graduates or individuals with limited experience.

Education and Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
• Two-year minimum experience (perioperative experience preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire

REGISTERED NURSE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clinic:

• Greets patients in a warm & professional demeanor
• Review and update patient charts and information as needed
• Re-stock and clean patient room
• Be familiar with general post-operative instructions
• Conduct confirmation calls for surgery patients the evening before surgery
• Other duties as assigned

Operating Room/PACU:

• Conduct pre-operative interviews
• Circulate in the operating room
• Open sterile items to sterile field
• Recover patient after surgery
• Other duties as assigned

COVID-19 Precaution(s):

• Personal protective equipment provided or required
• Temperature screenings
• Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place
