THE ROLE

The Quality Manager ensures that products meet the organizations and customers quality and product integrity requirements. The Quality Manager manages the overall quality system and directs and documents the quality planning activities and training throughout the facility. This role is the liaison between customers and manufacturing operations in resolving customer quality complaints.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Reviews design plans, process procedures, test procedures, and quality manuals to understand the scope, requirements, and function of the quality problem
• Supports the product development or operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process.
• Identifies root causes of problems in the production process; recommends and/or implements corrective measures
• Analyzes data to identify trends in product quality or defects with a goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects.
• Ensures manufacturing processes comply with federal, state, local, and industry standards and regulations
• Works with the department managers to define and document key procedures that affect the Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Assurance (QA) policies
• Leads ISO 9001-2015 initiatives for Hobbs Bonded Fibers (HBF)
• Develops and implements measures to continuously improve QMS and QA processes
• Acts as liaison between customers and manufacturing in resolving customer quality complaints
• Manages the overall quality system, including external, internal corrective and preventive action processes, lessons learned and internal quality audits
• Documents and directs the internal quality training programs throughout the facility
• Ensures that all measurement devices used in product inspection are calibrated and in good working order
• Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations
• Develops and implements measures to continuously improve Quality System
