Position Summary
The Quality Supervisor position reports to the General Manager and is responsible to lead the total plant QA/QC system. This includes all traditional quality verification activities including receiving and in-process inspection, test, audit and repair activities, continuous improvement, product launch, supplier quality, and quality system compliance.
The Quality Supervisor will provide technical assistance and quality leadership to all operating departments; drive problem resolution along with statistical methods and other problem-solving techniques; collect and analyze quality data and perform a wide variety of quality engineering activities in support of business objectives.
Principle Accountabilities
Manage the quality manual and update, as necessary, to reflect our plant processes
- Look for and implement process improvements to reduce rework and eliminate waste
- Internal auditor for process compliance to the quality manual/quality operating system
- Perform sample inspections to ensure all products leaving the plant meet drawings and specifications. Implement CA/PA as required to resolve
- Project manage plant quality items: corrective action/preventive action program, measurement equipment calibrations
- Project manage training matrix: quality program training, weld qualifications

Position Requirements
- Required: 3+ experience in manufacturing; including, welding, assembly, machining, and fabrication of steel and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals and composite
- Required: 3+ years inspection experience
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or other technical related field or equivalent job-related experience
- Preferred: Certified Weld Inspector
- Preferred: 5+ years Quality or Engineering management experience
- Preferred: ISO, and other industry related standards and specification experience
- Robust process and project management and documentation control skills
- Ability to focus on problem resolution, maintain flexibility, listen and respond in a manner to convey data clearly and informatively to non-technical personnel both internally and with external customers / vendors.
- Excellent communication and organization skills; specifically with providing direction and training to subordinates and superiors on quality and inspection related matters.
- Demonstrate accuracy and apply feedback to improve performance, as well as complete work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity.
