The Health Group within Leidos has a career opportunity for a talented and experienced Quality Assurance Test Engineer to work on a dynamic Agile team. The work will support the Leidos Army Medical Operations Data Systems (MODS) program. The successful candidate will serve as a Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester, working amongst software development teams and will be responsible for testing against stated requirements and specific industry standards. The candidate will design and implement test cases which verify approved requirements and document results. The candidate will also assist with software application troubleshooting and technical diagnosis and identify changes in support of continuous improvement of current test processes. The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience testing complex custom coded Web-based software applications and tools, as well as experience executing formal, written functional, integration, and system test procedures in compliance with widely recognized standards including CMMI ML3 or higher and ISO 9001:2008 or 2015. The candidate will monitor all stages of the software development lifecycle to identify and resolve system malfunctions and meet quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support test planning and requirements traceability, defect tracking, documentation, communication, test plans, and test cases.
Design, write, and develop test cases that are scalable, repeatable, and measurable.
Execute test cases: perform 'positive' and 'negative' testing as well as verify functionality.
Execute black box, functional, integration, and regression testing on new and existing functionality.
Review product documentation and write test cases.
Generate test data for functional and integration testing.
Ensure configuration and release management of testing data, documentation, and environments.
Develop and execute testing tasks and plans that meet timelines and release requirements.
Create and adhere to testing schedule and communicate testing progress.
Participate in requirement, test case, and test plan peer reviews.
Work with clients to document requirements and produce test-related artifacts.
Maintains and improves product quality by completing product and process audits.
Ensure Process and Procedure documentation is maintained.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Significant and practical experience performing QA/Test Engineer duties with a solid understanding of agile methodology and defect lifecycle.
Solid understanding of process for eliciting, analyzing, and verifying requirements in an Agile development environment.
Experience working on CMMI for DEV ML3 or higher appraised projects, as well as audit experience in ISO 9001:2008 or 2015 standards.
Experience working in a Microsoft software engineering environment, testing products developed using .NET and a SQL Server backend.
Knowledge of and experience with black box, functional, integration, system, and regression testing on new and existing functionalities (designing and developing regression test cases/test scenarios).
Use of automated testing tools such as Microsoft Test Manager (MTM), Coded UI, Selenium, Quick Test Professional (QTP), and/or LoadRunner.
Experience with testing for accessibility in accordance with Section 508 standards (Usability and Compliance).
Experience creating standard operating procedures and metrics based on best practices for a QA team.
Experience multi-tasking and prioritizing in accordance with contract and project goals.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, handle multiple tasks, and prioritize workload.
Experience managing and directing system test activities, creating test cases, test scenarios, requirement traceability matrix.
Basic Qualifications
Typically requires a BS degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience
Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables.
Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area, including planning, coordinating, and monitoring efforts and tasks.
Develops technical solutions that require collaboration with team members, deep analyses and understanding of impact on the end-product or solution.
Develops solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require experience and tester-specific knowledge.
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and client project team members.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once and ability to reprioritize projects as necessary.
Excellent technical skills to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Must be a US citizen and able to obtain an IT/ADP II Public Trust clearance

Pay Range:
Pay Range $66,300.00 - $102,000.00 - $137,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
