Purchasing Department Assistant Job at H&C Food Inc.
Great Wall Supermarket is an Asian supermarket established at New York City in 2004. We currently have nearly 20 supermarket locations and over 2,000 employees across the U.S. from the East Coast to the West Coast. We work with more than 1,000 vendors to sell Asian foods, grocery, fresh produce, seafood , and meat to meet Asian customers’ needs. Also, we are expanding to online food shopping area. Our company offers many opportunity for advancement.
Currently, we are looking for a purchasing department assistant to join our company.
Primary Duties
- Conduct supplier research, identification and screening to identify appropriate potential vendor partners internationally.
- Support the purchasing and estimating teams and others with supplier capability and capacity information, communication and other info or assistance.
- Collect, maintain, and distribute sourcing data.
- Negiotiate cost, terms, lead times, rebates, etc. Track and report results.
- Act as supplier liaison for conflict resolution, problem-solving, and relationship management.
- Ensure all import and export regulations are adhered to.
- Other work as required.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Education
- Bachelors in Purchasing, Supply Chain or a related field is a plus.
Experience
- working experience in sourcing or purchasing field is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills are required
- Bi-lingual in Mandarin is requried.
- Creative thinker with the ability to deliver “out of the box” solutions.
- Capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Proven attention to detail, with excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and personal organization skills.
