  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    • CPR certification required within six months of employment.
    • CPI training preferred.
    • Certified Specialist in Psychometry (SCP) preferred, this is available after two years of experience.

    • Bachelor’s degree required.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

  • Manages provider schedules, calendars and appointments.
  • Organizes office operations and procedures.
  • Collects personal information from the patient, scheduling appointments, billing and coding the procedures for insurance payments.
  • Data management, tracking, recording and input of testing and screening results.
  • Ensures medical record is complete, filing and recording information pertinent to patient care.
  • Assists in mental health screenings, triages, and coordinates referrals to mental health professionals and treatments on site and other facilities.
  • Verifies and confirms reported facts, specific dates, previous evaluations, medications/dosages and other therapy services.
  • Read assessments, proof to detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation and syntax.
  • Prepares, rewrites and edits copies to improve readability as well as supervise others who do this work.
  • Escorts patients to proper rooms and engages in administration of testing.
  • Cross trains and covers co-workers hours and duties as needed.
  • Is an expert in administration of tests of three specific disciplines; neuropsychology, occupational, and speech tests under the direct supervision of the three disciplines.
  • Needs to be skilled in the scoring of three specific disciplines; neuropsychology, occupational, and speech under the direct supervision of the three disciplines.
  • Responsible for measuring learning disabilities, mental illness, social communication, developmental delays and a host of other areas in mental health.
  • Administers tests in a standardized manner, so they will be consistent and accurate. That includes giving the examinees any information and instructions they need and answering any questions they have.
  • Provides detailed behavioral observations to help the psychologist complete the evaluations.
  • Provides direct patient care and test administration.
  • Other duties as assigned.
