Position Overview:

The Project Associate supports the Electric Vehicle (EV) and Distributed Energy Resources (DER) implementation teams with the management of electric vehicle (EV) charging design and construction projects across multiple client portfolios. The successful candidate for this job is a career-oriented professional who has shown capability though education and work experience to manage complex tasks across multiple, simultaneous workstreams.

This person works with a high performing team and excellent mentors on dynamic, fast paced electric vehicle infrastructure projects and related sustainability consulting projects.

The position supports the engineering and project management team by managing back-office tracking systems, integrating client data with design and construction task management. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or someone relatively new to the energy consulting industry.

Activities to include the following tasks:

  • Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers in the management of a large portfolio of EV charging infrastructure and DER (solar, energy storage, co-generation, etc.) projects
  • Contract management and client invoicing
  • Identify and leverage internal and external resources necessary for project implementation
  • Manage utility interconnection applications and incentive program applications
  • Manage, refine, and update databases and tracking spreadsheets
  • Support procurement activities
  • Assist in the development of project schedules and identify upcoming and/or overdue tasks
  • Assist in preparing technical reports and presentations
  • Partner with Project Engineers and Project Managers to complete projects to ensure timely client deliverables

Essential Functions:

  • Manage project task dates and budgets through various databases
  • Manage client contract progress and invoicing
  • A willingness to learn and work in a team environment with extensive contact with clients
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently on tasks once properly trained by team
  • Interact with multiple internal work groups
  • Identify challenges and prepare possible solutions for team review
  • Support client presentation material preparation and participate in client meetings
  • Manage project calendars

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of experience in the electric vehicles, energy (solar, energy storage, co-generation, etc.), and/or utility field
  • Educational or work experience in project management, sustainability, engineering, or similar technical education/experience preferred (New graduates welcomed!)
  • Client management and/or contract management experience preferred

Preferences:

  • Previous experience supporting project management teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS suite of tools, Power BI, and other tracking and reporting tools
  • Basic understanding of contracting principles
  • Previous client facing interactive skills

Salary Range Transparency:
US Remote: $65,000-85,000 USD annually

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently $65,000-85,000 USD annually for Colorado, Washington, and New York City residents only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.

Salary range represents the low and high end of Edison Energy's salary range for our Project Associate, Electric Vehicles & Energy (DER) Implementation position. Salaries vary depending on factors including location and experience. Salary is one part of Edison Energy's Total Compensation Package.
