Program Specialist Job at USC
The USC Korean Studies Institute is seeking a program specialist to perform various administrative assignments and tasks that involve interactions with faculty, staff and students. The Program Specialist will play an integral role in managing the Institute’s signature academic programs and operations.
Duties include:
- Assist with management of academic programs, such as managing email correspondences, scheduling and coordinating meetings, travel arrangements, etc.
- Provide support for the onboarding of external fellows and graduate assistants
- Coordinate conferences, meetings, workshops and other public relations functions. Arrange with vendors for sites, facilities, catering and guest accommodations
- Provide assistance to faculty and students for administrative matters such as Workday and finance reimbursements
- Supervise student staff
- Manage social media
- Assist in maintaining office equipment and purchases
Preferred Qualifications
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree and previous experience in a similar position in an academic setting
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Zoom and social media platforms
- High level of professionalism in the handling of confidential information
Hourly range: The hourly rate range for this position is $28.20 - $31. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerationsSalary range:
