Program Manager Job at New York Junior Tennis & Learning, Inc.
PURPOSE
Serve as project manager for Cary Leeds facility related projects including management of processes & execution with external vendors & internal staff. From a project management lens, build & maintain community based relationships, including creation & sustainability of revenue generating programming & other event based opportunities during off peak/traditionally vacant times. Additional administrative support surrounding systems & administrative management for the Director of Operations, including back of the house operations.

SAMPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· PROJECT MANAGEMENT
· Support the Director of Operations with establishing, monitoring & managing timelines & progress for facility related projects.
· Collaborate with the Facility Manager in executing all facility related projects.
· Connect with external vendors with RFP process, cost estimating, budget development & scheduling.
· Maintain matrix of facility upkeep, certifications, scheduling of preventive maintenance services.
· Administrative tasks as assigned by the Director of Operations to support overall internal facility service operation.
· Administrative tasks as assigned by the Director of Client Services & Sales to support customer service operation and front desk systems.
· Support administrative areas related to the Intensive Training Program (ITP).
· Other responsibilities as assigned.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
· Build & maintain mission based programming that has revenue generating potential. Areas of opportunity include, but are not limited to local PE school based programming, NY state funded adaptive tennis related grants, sustainability and growth of youth community tennis trainings, integration of Boys & Girls Club, Resident Services of local Housing Developments, etc.
· Create & partner with local community partners to implement new programming & facility utilization with both revenue and non-revenue generating potential. Areas of opportunity include, but are not limited to Senior Centers, local faith based groups, act as an extension on CB3 projects, collaborate with Crotona Parks administration/volunteer groups, shelters, etc.
· Develop programs & activities designed to engage families & the community in order to improve quality of life for local area residents.
· Organize open houses & other events in collaboration with local housing developments, schools, parent organizations, community business partners and community members.
· Develop strategies to meet revenue targets.
· Maintain data matrix on all participants of community based initiatives.
· Build and actively engage local school administrators/PE educators in an effort to build out School Time Tennis program.
· Attend community board meetings when needed and other foster relationships with community activists.
· Independency to manage day-to-day working relationships with external partners including field visits (internal & external), email correspondence and monthly feedback loop that tracks referrals.
· Collect, evaluate and report information regarding community needs and wants.
· Work with NYJTL Marketing in creating collateral & materials to be used to showcase The Cary Leeds Center & NYJTL.
QUALIFICATIONS
· A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college & at least one years’ experience in community outreach, advocacy or related field.
· Prior involvement with project management, including creating, leading & overseeing a project from start to finish.
· Experience in planning, organizing & implementing programs involving community participation.
· Prior work within the tennis industry & basic tennis knowledge is a plus
· Ability to travel locally.
· Knowledge and experience in building community partnerships.
· Proven skills in marketing & sales.
· Excellent organizational, verbal & communication skills.
· Highly organized, detail-oriented and possess excellent people skills.
· High level of proficiency using technology including Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, but is self-motivated and takes ownership.'
