Job Summary


This position manages the shift and all direct staff, labor, material and overhead costs associated with production process. This position also develops a high performance team that is self-managing, motivated, innovative, and provides growth for individuals within the team. Ensuring that all colleagues comply with all Safety and Health policies, procedures.


Job Functions


Essential Functions:

  • Supervise production floor to ensure success by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Problem solving and troubling shooting skills are used to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve problems
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Provide colleagues in all positions the opportunities, training and experience to expand their knowledge and improve their skills, including guidance necessary to attain desired growth.
  • Administer progressive disciplinary policies as needed, working with HR team

The noise level in the work environment requires hearing protection.

  • Education and Experience
  • Four year degree from college or university and/or five years of production experience preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, reasoning, and judgment required

  • The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear.; reach with hands and arms;

  • The employee must regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to work 12 hours.
