POSITION SUMMARY:

The Product Marketing Coordinator is responsible for helping increase product awareness and competitiveness by providing support to the marketing and sales team. The Product Marketing Coordinator will collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop Pipers overall go to market strategy. The Product Marketing Coordinator works with engineering with product upgrades and enhancements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Assist in the development and delivery of the following materials and tools to be used in the full range of Pipers Marketing & Sales Programs. These materials and tools include but are not limited to:

o Marketing Collateral

o Sales Tools

o Sales Presentations

Participate in the sales lead process to include first point of contact, answering technical and product support questions, as well as conducting product demonstrations

Serve as resource for sales and marketing team members to help ensure accurate and factual product technical data are reflected in all materials and tools

Assist with market research, competitive analysis and product differentiation

Perform data mining activities for the purpose of market competitiveness for Pipers product lines

Lead Generation

Development of sales and marketing programs to address specific sales needs, such as tax incentive tools, sales incentive programs, etc.

Demonstrate company products to prospects and customers as needed

Represent company products at company and dealer managed events and tradeshows

Participate in the new product development process

Create and administer sales and technical training programs on new/upgraded products

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. May be required to train and assist other employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree and three or more years experience within the general aviation industry required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of (and) experience operating Piper aircraft models and products preferred. Experience and knowledge of aircraft sales processes is preferred. An FAA Pilot Certificate required (Commercial, Instrument, Multiengine) and a minimum of 500 hours total time. Must possess Second class or better FAA Medical Certificate.

Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, a working knowledge of Windows based computer programs, and experience with relational databases and CRM systems are required to perform the duties in this position.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

The employee must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers in both written and oral form. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for the successful performance of the duties of this position.
