Position: Prep Cook/BHT| Footprints to Recovery, CO*
The Cook/ Meal Prep - Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) will first and foremost oversee meal preparation, cooking, and organizing nutrition plans under the head chef. This will include monitoring and organizing orders and supplies, receiving deliveries, and ensuring safe and appropriate storage in compliance with health department standards and regulations. Additionally, this position will also assist with monitoring clients, transportation, and general detox house needs with the ability to communicate and document any occurrences. The Cook/ Meal Prep BHT will be instrumental in ensuring a safe and caring environment supportive of recovery. Requires maintaining a positive, productive attitude, even when clients may be argumentative or non-compliant.

Job Duties: *
- Work closely with the Head Chef in the processes related to the nutritional needs of the patients.
- Menu planning, receiving deliveries, grocery shopping, stocking/organizing, and preparing/plating meals, cleanup, and maintenance of kitchen resources.
- Regular coordination and communication with Head Chef
- Budget management of groceries and supplies.
- Customized nutritional planning for patients with unique dietary requirements.
- Responsible for monitoring clients throughout hours of operation, including a walk-through of the building every 15 minutes as assigned.
- Responsible for ensuring and maintaining the cleanliness of the building as well as monitoring inventory of all cleaning supplies and storage closets.
- Assists with house maintenance, laundry, and general tidiness inside/outside.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Regulations pertaining to client confidentiality.
- Assists with schedules and assists with providing transportation of clients in accordance with transportation policy and procedures, as needed.
- Provides backup staff support.
- Provides support to clinical staff and medical staff including sending out daily email communications to clinical staff.
- Collect, monitor, and document urinalysis samples and breathalyzer screenings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A valid Driver License in the residing state, and clean driving record
- Current CPR certification
- Food handlers and preparation health card required (can acquire pre-hire per company)
- Experienced and knowledgeable responsibility to work safely and hygienically. Must complete and keep certain records; these will include: Temperature charts, Food safety information, Accident report forms, Equipment fault reports, Stock usage reports as it pertains to the food service industry.

- Must have strong ability to multi-task
- Must have knowledge of all Microsoft office suites including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
