EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent with vocational, technical specialized knowledge requiring 1 to 2 years of formalized knowledge. Directly related warehouse, inventory, computer-related experience and/or skills in lieu of education.

Ability to communicate effectively (verbal or written) to staff, vendors and personnel at MARTA (Contracts & Procurement, Accounting, etc.).
Performs administrative and support functions for the MARTA Police Quartermaster Unit. Inventory, replace, dispose and recommend items for use in the Police Department to support all work areas. Receive, verify and account for ordered items as well as follow up for irregular uniforms and equipment. Maintain detailed documentation of items received and disbursed for accountability and audit purposes. Work with the Quartermaster to ensure adequate uniforms, equipment and supplies are maintained for the Police Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Inprocess and outprocess Police Department employees.
2. Receive, account for, store, return items based on items ordered and/or condition of items received.
3. Order, issue and accurately record all clothing and uniform equipment issued to employees.
4. Order, issue and accurately record all office supplies required/requested in accordance with Department policy.
5. Determine the status of usable or unusable clothing, equipment, and items to be serviceable or unserviceable.
6. Input and maintain a database of inventory of items of responsibility.
7. Compose Request(s) for Purchase to ensure that items are readily available.
8. The ability to formulate and maintain accurate inventory records/reports, requests for purchase and supporting documentation for the Unit and Department.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
An official investigation into the applicant's background will be conducted including a criminal history records check. A physical examination, including drug/alcohol screen, will be required. Electronic completion of Security Awareness training issued by the Georgia Crime Information Center.
