Due to internal promotions and retirements Livingston Police Department, is recruiting for two openings as a Patrol Officer! Both are full time fully benefited positions with job stability and opportunities for advancement and career progression.

Current starting wage for new patrol officers is $50,601 (7/1/2023). Lateral transfers with POST certification (or equivalent from another state) begin at $51,607. A wage opener is currently in final stages to increase these wages!

Additional compensation is also available through certification pay, special assignments and training as you learn more skills and develop in your career. Most benefits begin immediately with an extremely generous stipend that is sufficient to provide coverage to most family members free beginning 1st of the month following 30 days of employment!

While experience in law enforcement as a lateral transfer would be ideal, it is not required. High school diploma or equivalent, clean driving record and no felony convictions are required.
