Physician-Family Practice/Internal Medicine/Pediatrics
Job description
Objective
Provides direct patient care to primary care patients of all ages, with a focus on infants, children, adolescents, and adults.
Reports To
· Director, Chief Medical Officer, President

Qualifications:
Education Required: Licensed MD or DO with an active NPI, XDEA, California State License, and Controlled Substance Registration
Licensure and Certifications: Preferred: Internal Medicine/Family Medicine/Pediatric Board Certification
Specific Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required
- Experience working in Subacute detoxification and residential treatment centers is preferred.
- Strong Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Background, Board Certification is Preferred but is not required.
- Excellent Bedside manner.
- Ability to integrate into multiple clinical teams and treatment programs.
- Willingness to collaborate with clinicians and facility support staff.
- Ability to work on-site with diverse care teams in a variety of settings.
- Effective time management and communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Computer literate and experience with Electronic Medical Record Systems
- Professionalism in all communications internally and externally.
- High adaptability to changing environment based on current scientific evidence and formulation of standard operating procedures within the company.
- Ability to take 1 week (7 days) of call per month.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct medical and/or physical examinations and make diagnoses.
- Prescribe appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide appropriate therapy to patients.
- Coordinate the work of consulting medical specialists.
- Act as physician member of a multi-disciplinary team for clinical work or program development.
- Provide clinical supervision to licensed and professional staff.
- Prepare reports and maintain records of activities.
- Consult and work with other medical and/or mental health professionals in the community when necessary.
- Confer with patients' relatives regarding illness and treatment.
- Maintain records of diagnosis, treatment and prognosis according to Joint Commission of Accredited Hospitals Organization standards and other regulatory agencies, including documenting in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Develop comprehensive case histories.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
