RamTEK Consulting is an information technology staffing company that provides services for a wide range of companies throughout the country. We are currently looking for a* remote* PHP Developer for a contract opening in Jacksonville, Florida.
This role will initially be for 20 hours and can be after hours. The consultant will need to be able to meet at least 3 hours a week between 8 to 5.

We are looking for a qualified person with a strong background in software development to take our online learning application to the next level.
Job Description:
As a Software Developer, you will work directly with leadership to develop an overall strategy for improving and expanding our digital learning application. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a software developer, computer programmer, or similar coding experience using HTML/CSS, PHP, and JavaScript.
The ideal candidate will be able to understand the goals of leadership and offer solutions to achieve those goals taking into consideration timing, costs, security, user experience, and other measures. The candidate will then execute based on development priorities using industry best practices to ensure appropriate security, streamlined UX, and proper functionality. The candidate will be accountable for implementing updates, changes, and expanded features within agreed upon timeframes.
The candidate must also have experience using third party hosting platforms and developing data workflows to capture, store, and present user input data, usage data, and other data as may be necessary. The candidate should also be able to recommend, integrate, configure, and/or troubleshoot applications, plugins, webhooks, and other technologies required support the application, including but not limited to functions like processing reoccurring payments, account management, user logins, user emails, user communications/notices, reporting tools, and other tools/programs/applications as may become necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience developing end user software under similar frameworks as described above and should be comfortable using multiple code languages and MySQL. The candidate will be someone who has the knowledge and imagination to discuss possibilities and ideas when consulting with leadership and provide time/cost estimates to help develop a cohesive short- and long-term development strategy. The candidate should be able to develop using industry best practices, and be knowledgeable about user login and account management, application security, third party applications, hosting, data, and other skills as required for this position.
Candidate MUST be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time. Candidate must be able to speak English and write American English.
