We are looking for a dedicated and self-motivated assistant to our Phone Triage Nurses. This position provides essential clerical support for the telephone Triage Nurses and physicians as needed. The position will require strong communication skills electronically and in person for interactions with various staff, physicians and families. In addition, attention to detail is an important part of the daily work flow for the Phone Nurse Assistant. The Phone Nurse Assistant is an integral part of the triage team dedicated to quality care and excellent customer service.

This is a full-time position that is in office (in person) that offers competitive wage and benefit package.

The Phone Nurse Assistant reports to the Nurse lead/or Site Manger along with the Chief Medical Officer

Some of the functions of the Phone Nurse Assistant includes:

*Managing voicemails to the Phone Nurses and prescription phone lines

*Retrieving test results as requested by physicians or phone nurses

*Send messages to various staff members regarding lab reports, prescriptions requests and follow up requests

*Fax and scanning forms

*Collaborate with other staff members of the practice to help meet the needs of the patient and families

Education:

High School Graduate

Experience:

Clerical experience preferred

Basic knowledge of medical terms preferred

Documenting in the electronic medical record

Faxing

Knowledge of HIPPA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
