Job Description
Pharmacy Technician I PRN/Non-Exempt 0.2 1st, 2nd, 3rd Shift - with rotation if needed
Job Summary:
- Under the leadership of the Operations Manager, Pharmacy Specialist, or Network Director and the technical guidance of a pharmacist, assists the pharmacist in filling medication orders, preparing IV admixtures and maintaining appropriate levels of medications in pharmacy, nursing units, service carts and trays to meet patient care needs.
Education/Registration/Certification/Licensure:
- High school graduate or GED
- Pharmacy Technician in Training permit
- Pharmacy Technician State Licensure required within 12 months from issuance of training permit consistent with state guidelines.
OR
- High school graduate or GED
- Pharmacy Intern License
Experience:
- No specific experience is required.
Education:
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
