Position Title: Primary Therapist and Group Facilitator

The Forum at San Diego Brainworks was created out of the increased difficulties that adolescents have been facing and the need to receive more intensive mental health treatment. We are looking for a Masters or Doctorate Level Therapist.

-Must be hard working and dynamic.

-Salary depends on experience.

Under The Supervision Of The Clinical Director, Group Therapists Are Ultimately Responsible For Providing Individual And Group Therapy To Patients With A Diagnosis Of Chemical Dependency And Mental Health.

Job Duties : Provision Of Individual Therapy, Group Facilitation, Family Therapy, Therapeutic Support, And Coordination Of Care With Other Members Of The Client’s Treatment Team. Other Job Components Include Clinical Assessments, Ongoing Utilization Management, And Ongoing Participation Within A Multi-Disciplinary Treatment Team. Schedules May Include Day, Evening Shifts.

Further Responsibilities:

• Utilizing Knowledge Of A Variety Of Therapeutic Models And Theories To Understand And Plan Intervention Strategies For A Variety Of Patients
• Monitoring Patient Progress And Making Changes To The Therapeutic Approach And Best Practice, Evidenced Based Interventions Based On Patient Response To Treatment
• Facilitate Group Therapy Sessions At The Residential Facility As Well As PHP/IOP/OP Location.
• Participate In Clinical Team Meeting.

Job Requirements

• Master’s Degree Or Higher
• CPR Certification
• Licensed In The State Of California As An LMFT Or LCSW Or LPCC
• Legal Documentation Of The Ability To Work In The State Of California
• Be Able To Pass A Background Check

Required Experience:

• Counseling Or Group Facilitating Experience In The Substance Abuse/Mental Health Field
• DBT, CBT, Or Other Sub-Specialty Training Preferred

Preferred Experience

• LGTBQ+ proficiency

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $60.00 - $100.00 per hour
