Per Diem Tax Preparer Job at Moses and Schreiber
Organizes and coordinates clients' tax data for accurate, timely completion of individual tax returns and moderatley complex corporate, partnership, S-corp, and trust tax returns.
Essential Functions
- Reviews tax information submitted by client for completeness; meets with or calls clients with questions.
- Possesses knowledge of tax regulations in order to answer clients' questions.
- Prepares personal tax returns of various complexities.
- Prepares corporate, partnership and S-corp tax returns.
- Prepares amended returns of any variety and complexity.
- Prepares personal tax projections through use of computer software
- Responds to tax notices of any sort and does inital drafts of any letters required.
- Performs tax research projects.
- Makes adjusting entries and completes trial balances to prepare a tax return.
- Maintains a good understanding of depreciation to set up clients, and read and understands depreciation reports.
- Prepares tax accruals as may be required in preparing corporate tax returns.
- Works with confidential client matters; requires ability to keep matters confidential.
Requried Experience and Skills
- At leaset two (2) years' experience preparing individual, corporate, partnership, and S-corp tax returns.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Melville, NY 11747: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CPA (Preferred)
